Welcome to St Martin's Methodist Church as it starts its third century!
It is pleasing in many ways that we have been at the limit of our permitted numbers for Sunday worship for the last seven weeks. Because of the popularity of Harvest services, we have decided to hold two 35 minute services on Sunday 13th September at 10.00am and 11.00am by a reservations system. At nigh on 40 at each service, we are now FULLY BOOKED. We are sorry if this disappoints anyone.
Minister: Rev. Nico Hilmy-Jones, Les Hautes Carrières, La Grande Route de St.Martin, St. Saviour, JE2 7JA. Tel: 01534 840793 email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Visitors and new members of our community are always assured of a warm welcome in our church. Our style of worship is probably best described as traditional with progressive overtones!!
We have an array of multi-media equipment which enables worship leaders to explore new ways of worship and these, including Cafe style worship, are well received. We love to sing and hymns and songs range from traditional hymns from "Singing the Faith" and "Hymns and Psalms", to the rich supply in “Songs of Fellowship”
Music has always been an important part of worship at St. Martin.
Unusually for a church of this size, it never possessed a pipe organ but through a range of harmoniums and early electronic instruments it has ended with a very acceptable Viscount digital church organ. We also have a versatile Roland piano keyboard. We are very lucky to have a good team of organists and musicians and some talented vocalists too.
